In Front Of Player Piano

We got invited to a friend’s house who owns a player piano. He actually rebuilt the player piano from the worst conditions you can imagine and it is working amazingly now (365 days later)

I never knew anything about player piano until I saw one and play with one. It is amazing and when you hear one, it makes you want to dance.

Enjoy watching Coby pumping the pedals on the player piano.

Happy Birthday Abigail!

IMG_2226

Today is Abigail’s big day, she turns three years old! Happy birthday to you Abigail! I can’t believe she is three years old. We had a small party with our close friends and the weather was a perfect ‘fall-liked’ weather to be able to do piñata outside.

Today is also a big day for this blog, we started this blog exactly a year ago on Abigail’s birthday.

Man Of God Versus Man Of The World

I was reflecting on the funerals of Pope John Paul II - a man of God and Michael Jackson - a man of the world. The simplicity of heaven and the extravagance of the world, the wooden casket versus the golden casket. The legacy that both men left behind, legacy that focuses on God and heaven versus legacy that focuses on men and the world.

Michael Jackson Funeral

What do you want your funeral to be like?

UPDATE: After I finished this blog, we did our night prayers and read the following on Psalm 49 “Be not afraid when one becomes rich, when the wealth of his house increases. For when he dies he will carry nothing away; his wealth will not go down after him.”

Propagating Roses

Back in May I started what might be a new hobby, “roses”. Planting roses that is! So far so good, and some of them are even blooming already.

IMG_2163 IMG_2167

To make it a little bit more challenging I also started propagating roses. You can click here to see what propagating is all about. I propagated 6 stem of roses which we got from the rose show at the botanical garden. Three stems didn’t make it and the other three, nine weeks later have some roots. Yippee . . .  I’m so excited about this!

When you grow roses from cuttings, they are identical to the original plant. So, imagine the possibilities, if I see a beautiful rose around your garden I might cut a stem and start propagating your rose.

Christiana Mary In Close Up

How is Christiana Mary, some people had asked me? Well, I made a quick 24 second YouTube so you can take a look at her. She is getting bigger, smiley and very happy girl. Don’t get startled by the voice on the background, that is Gabriela trying to make her little sister giggles during the video making.
