God gives us hope with Sarah Palin!

We want to turn to politics a little bit, because we are so excited that John McCain has picked Sarah Palin for running mate - Vice President.
This is big . . . we got a pro-life conservative running for Vice President. Finally, there's hope for us. Sarah Palin is:
* Pro-life
* A reformer
* A Strong conservative
* Understands and lives family values
* Young, pretty, very feminine (no pants suit!), she is a Mom and loves her family. These are just some things the feminists hate!)
Let's face it, she is our hope in November and the next 4 years.

Here's what we have to do from now until November, keep praying for her and her family that God will protect them. The liberal media (and BIG red) will find ways to destroy her and her family.

McCain-Palin - you have our prayers!

This youtube of 2 minutes and 29 seconds, Glenn Beck will put Sarah Palin into perspective without politics involvement - "Palin's Pride & Joy". Enjoy!

The Palin family released this statement the morning after Trig Paxson's birth. The newborn is Todd and Sarah Palin's fifth child who was diagnosed with Down's Syndrome:
“Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.”

God Bless America!

I can open it myself!

I'm not trying to make this blog to be an "Abigail" blog, but I just couldn't help it and plus she is 2 years old. We went to chinese buffet yesterday for dinner and Abigail was determined she was going to open the fortune cookie wrapper on her own. I took this picture trying to capture her expression and her fortune described her too well . . . "You create your own stage and your audience is waiting!"
How perfect is that fortune!

What is love without the hearts?

I thought this picture is just too cute not to put in the blog.

March of the Penguin

Abigail got this stuffed penguin from her grandparents for her birthday and she loves playing with this fat stuffed penguin. It makes noises when you press the tummy or press the ear. But, we can see in these pictures who has more fun with the stuffed penguin. The first night Gabriela made the penguin look like it's drinking from a cup, so I took a picture of it because I thought it looked cute. She made the penguin pose with a different theme on the second night, and third night, and fourth night. She would do this on the same spot every time; on top of the trunk underneat the lamp. I'm not sure how long she will keep this up, the possibilities are endless, she has learned alot from her daddy's sense of humor. We will keep you posted.

Happy Feast of the Assumption!

Today was a big day for our family, we celebrated the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary by having a sort of kind of family reunion. We didn't plan this family reunion, but it certainly felt like one. My parents had moved here from California, my brother, Albert and his family came last Saturday from California and Father Miguel spent a day with all of us. We had a private Mass celebrated by Father Miguel in the Friary chapel, we took our family photo, we played tennis a little bit . . . we laughed a lot! It was definitely a day to remember for a long time.
Taking the family photo was so much fun. Imagine, trying to make Abigail smile, it was very hard! This is by the way coming from a two year old that always goes around the house looking cute asking her mommy or daddy to take a picture of her while she has the biggest smile on her face. It was easier to make Father Miguel laugh then Abigail to smile. But we did it, I think we cracked a smile out of Abigail in maybe two of the shots!

I got the iPhone 3G!

Yes, I got the iPhone 3G - the white one (I've had it for over two weeks, but just got around to tell about it now) If you go to the Apple website you'll read the tag line on the iPhone 3G - "Twice as fast. Half the price", they should add another line to that: Twice as fast. Half the price, and twice as long to own it. A week after the iPhone 3G came out I decided to go to the apple store. I figured it's been a week and I'm sure I can just walk in the store and purchase the iPhone, in and out, maximum would be half-hour! Well, three hours later, I got the iPhone! I spent my day off on Friday with my brave three girls stood in line from 10 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. So, I was among the millions who stooped to the nonsense of Apple's marketing scheme! Although the iPhone 3G is superb, the looks of it, the feel of it, all the functionality, and I can even make calls, we will have to see whether or not I will wait in line for three hours next time! The girls definitely think twice when ever I ask, "who wants to go to the apple store with daddy?"

Hot Summer Days in Alabama

Coby came across this "Baby Blues" in the Sunday's comic couple of weeks ago and told me I could relate to this.
How funny and true is that! We've been spending a lot of time in the pool and the girls like to do exactly what is in the baby blues comic strip and at the end I wonder why my body is so stiff. They like to be thrown, chased, and jumped in the pool over and over again. Both Gabriela and Rebecca can swim on their own without any floaty and Abigail still have to use her tummy floaty, but she doesn't have any fear at all!
The swimming pool has been the best investment since we got it couple of years ago. It's like having our own vacation spot in our backyard, our own oasis!
Hot summer days in Alabama is not too bad when you kick back and relax around the pool, swimming, listening to the music and drinking ice tea or lemonade.
